Partners
DPI has two categories of partners which offer benefits to its members. DPI is very selective when setting up new partnerships with other organizations and is proud to say that the relationships it currently has with these partners is very strong.
Professionalism Partners
A DPI Professionalism Partner is one that is a non-profit organization having the same approach as DPI of developing professionalism in informatics. Also, to serve the needs of the Information Professional by:
- offering a networking forum in their field with others in the public or private sector
- helping to keep them aware of IM/IT issues, trends and initiatives
- offering preferred rates for attending seminars or events as well as improving their qualifications
- facilitating information exchange on professional issues, and
- providing our members with a forum for sharing best practices and IM/IT solutions between individuals and organizations.
Currently, DPI has identified CIPS (www.cips.ca) as its sole Professionalism Partner.
Event Partners
A DPI Event Partner is one that offers their events to DPI members at a discounted or pre-arranged rate. On occasion, DPI also offers seminars to Event Partner members and/or also offers them discounted rates to the PDW learning event.
