Overview
Meet delegates from your organization over dinner and share an evening of community awards, recognition and light entertainment.
The evening will include presentations of the DPI Life Member and Fellow awards, the IM Community Recognition Awards and the IT Community Recognition Awards by the Chief Information Officer for the Government of Canada. The awards ceremony will be followed by a Keynote Presentation from Erik Wahl, recognized artist and speaker, The Wahl Group, Inc.
Awards
DPI Life Member Award
DPI depends on the time, energy, and hard work of our volunteers to plan, organize and deliver our programs and services. There are some who stand out, who are always there, ready and willing to help wherever and whenever needed. To recognize their outstanding commitment, we award them a lifetime membership. A general member of DPI may be designated as a Life Member. This designation gives public recognition to those who have contributed to the advancement of the Association of Public Sector Information Professionals through service to the Association, promotional initiatives or program delivery. DPI Fellow Award
A current or former public sector employee may be designated as a Fellow of the Association of Public Sector Information Professionals. This designation recognizes those individuals who have contributed to the advancement of IM/IT in the public sector through services to the Association. Service to the Association can be defined as supporting the Association in some manner (i.e., advocating the Association, significant sponsorship, being a member of the Association’s committees, etc.) To see which individuals have been honoured as a Fellow, click here !
Government of Canada Awards
The Deputy Chief Information Officer for the Government of Canada will be presenting the IM Community Recognition Awards and the IT Community Recognition Awards. These two awards acknowledge and honour federal public service employees for excellence in IM or IT practices and leadership in the following categories:
A - Leadership at all levels
Recognizes the extraordinary achievements and/or effort of individuals who, with a combination of human qualities and exceptional skills, have exemplified outstanding leadership in the pursuit of performance excellence. Their achievements and/or efforts will have had an impact in the IM or IT domain at either the departmental or public service level.
B - Community building
Recognizes individuals/teams who, through their ongoing commitment, work together with others to address critical IM or IT community issues by exhibiting cooperative and collaborative approaches and/or setting up partnerships.
C - Shareable business improvement
Recognizes individuals/teams that have a positive and sustainable impact on the IM or IT domain as a result of their efforts, through the creation of tools, programs and/or service
