Lifetime Affiliates

The DPI designation of Lifetime Affiliate gives public recognition of outstanding commitment to those who have significantly contributed to the advancement of the Association of Public Sector Information Professionals through service to the Association, promotional initiatives or program delivery.

Lifetime Affiliates of the Association of Public Sector Information Professionals recognizes those volunteers who stand out, who are always there, ready and willing to help wherever and whenever needed.

Eligibility
Any active affiliate of the association is eligible. Current Executive Board members are not eligible.

Frequency
The award is given once per year at the Gala Dinner during Professional Development Week. If no suitable candidate is found, the award may not be granted for a specific year.

Normally, one award will be granted each year. In exceptional circumstances, more than one award may be granted.

Nominations
Nominations should be submitted to info@dpi-canada.com) between January 1st and March 1st of each year.

Judging Panel
The President of the Association is responsible for identifying the award recipient each year. This will be carried out by convening a small panel of judges, typically the Executive, to review the nominations. The panel will select the best nomination and the President will present the award at the Gala Dinner during Professional Development Week.

Selection Criteria
The judging panel will consider the following criteria to select a recipient:

  • Impact of contributions to the Association.
  • Number of years of active support for the Association.
  • Demonstrated professional integrity and respect.
