Design Thinking in Action
When executed properly, design thinking helps connect innovation to implementation – positively affecting the outcome of products, processes or services. Whether you are in a major corporation, work as a civil servant or you are the owner of a start-up; design thinking will provide you the tools you need to become an innovative thinker and identify opportunities for you to implement your creativity.
In this interactive course, we provide an overview of design thinking, guiding you through each step involved in this methodology. We will work through collaborative exercises that will help break you out of a linear-thinking approach and help create more powerful solutions.
We will explore service design to help create solutions with the end-client in mind - helping to increase customer satisfaction, identify new opportunities and guide you through several design-thinking techniques to help empathize with the end client, define the problem, ideate and prototype the solutions to lead you to the implementation phase.
We will review examples of how design thinking has been employed within the public service to solve challenges. This will be drawn on from our own experiences in public sector design thinking at Spring2 Innovation and research we have conducted over the years.
This Design Thinking course is a valuable tool for anyone who wants to understand their users’ needs better and learn how to increase organizational innovation to reach a wider target audience! The workshop will help you come up with new solutions to complex problems through engaging activities that will ensure your participation while learning and offer you a lot of fun along the way.
